Stress is a part of life and can sometimes be debilitating. Stress can manifest in different shapes and forms, and severity. Some thrive in stressful environments, while others falter.
Whereas, one can reduce stress through exercise or meditation or taking a holiday. Distraction can help reduce stress, such as finding a hobby or watching a movie.
There is no right or wrong answer on how to combat stress, it is what works for you. Deep breathing is one way, exercising is another. Some people develop hobbies to develop stress reduction techniques.
