Thanks for this post! I had forgotten that I used to do a lot of walking meditation - and I miss it! I'll have to start practicing again.
Also, I used to try and use eating as a meditation because it is an act that is really fundamental and it reminded me with each chew that my existence relies on and is sustained by God.
And I have to say that my favourite aspect of asana practice is that it is meditation in movement. (For those of you who don't know yoga terms, 'asana' means pose and some people - including me - use it to refer to the physical practice of yoga).
Using as a tool for concentration and meditation is so beautiful! And, like you said, it has really helped me to be able to focus more in my non-moving meditation.
