Man consists of a material body and an ethereal soul.
Death is the separation of the soul from the body.
The body then will disintegrate and decay and will become dust or earth.
While the soul is the true man, and the soul is immortal and will live forever.
The soul is an ethereal true copy of the body; so that souls will know each other by the shapes they had in the life of the World.
It is the soul in fact that sees, hears and perceives the pain and pleasure, while the material body is like a board of wood does not see, neither does it hear nor even feel any pain or pleasure.
