But don't give away a secret location unless you want some company.
My Home spot is in bed after I have woken up before coffee.
My outdoors one is usually a 20 minute walk into the state forest, which is about 30 minute drive away. It is a small clearing about 100 meters off the walking track and during the week it is quite peaceful and serene. Hearing the birds and the breeze through the trees are so relaxing, I go to a very calm place and just wonder in my own my mind. Clearing my thoughts. :cool2:

My favorite Place is in Osho International in Pune,India where i happen to go once a year.
Otherwise normally i meditate in my Center in Chicago. Anybody around is most welcome. Check for more details :: Meditation Chicago: Meditation Center Chicago for Meditation Classes
I have found my hammock to be my favorite spot, easier on the joints and truly allows you to succumb to your senses. Highly reccomend giving it a shot, I use a Tibetan Monk Chanting track and let it take me away!

I think, everyone should have a special spot where they can shut out the outside world and find a moment of peace – a mental, emotional and spiritual fortress. Especially i like the Mountain View cemetery and the Albany Bulb are my favorites.
Much like you my home spot is my bed, usually while playing a mindless game, meaning, a game that relaxes me but doesn't require any thinking. I'm free to then concentrate on my breathing while visually looking at something moving or colorful.
I also use walk meditation much like you, I take off outdoors and walk but instead of stopping off at a particular place, the walking itself is the meditation. I usually have a preset route so that I am not focusing on where I am to avoid getting lost. Sometimes I take music, other times I just tune out the street noises so that I am not distracted.
In my livingroom, usually on my soft sofa, darkened room with no TV or anything that can distract me on or playing. Sometimes I have a small area fan on, sometimes not depending on the weather. I just sit and think about nothing or concentrate on the fact it is quiet.
Indoors I do my meditation on the throne, no, seriously. It's the one spot I'm not pestered. The outside one I haven't been to in eons though I go there in my mind a lot is a wooded area in Virginia behind the home I lived in. I love walking in the wet leaves after a rain storm, the air was clean, crisp and chilly. It smelled incredible as it was the dawn of Autumn. AHH takes me back.
My favourite place to meditate is in my conservatory. It overlooks my back garden. It is so peaceful and the only noise I hear is the birds.
