To continue to be the best me there is. This is an on going life proces.
To behave in the now the way I choose to behave. My previous behavior patterns were patterns of behavior that I used when I was a child. At the time these old patterns of behavior were necessary. They were the only tools I had. They became automatic responses. In many cases some of these behaviors are no longer the best responses to a given situation.
To raise my tolerance level in order to feel more compassion for myself and others.
To feel happier and more peaceful...ALL the time.

I like the relaxation and that fact you can use meditation for any goals you would like to set on yourself and to view positive outcomes in everyday life.
Sometimes I use it as an escape, other times to heal when life does not go as planned.
To get a grasp on the self and be in gratitude for what I already have and what I will receive in the future.
To understand the mind (or my mind at least!) .
As well as to have waking dreams to see what the psyche desires and needs to survive.

Meditation has helped me to be more relaxed thus it has also cured my difficulty sleeping at night. Meditation is a proven technique to encourage and promote relaxation. The more relaxed you are as you get ready for bed the better your chances of falling into a deep, restful sleep cycle. It is important that you learn to put your stress, tensions, and worries to the side before you fall asleep. Meditation can help you achieve this relaxed state and focus on peace and harmony.
Calm Mind
Meditation is a technique designed to relax the body quickly and calm the mind. This restores to the body to a state of balance, and the resulting mental clarity prepares us for whatever we plan to do next. It not complicated to understand or do. Children get it quite easily. It actually works because it simplifies our mental activity. It requires no special props or beliefs. It can be done for a minute or for an hour, at any time we are alone. Most people get good results from their very first attempt, although improvement only comes with practice.
I like the sense of peace and place it gives me. I like the calm that comes through repeated practice. I have meditated for many years on my own, but am always ready to learn new ways of being. Recently, I did a Spirituality course which taught me chakra meditation and I have since learnt more about chakra meditation from the net. I also do tai chi. I think I will have done about five years by the end of the year. This is meditation in motion. I also do the fan and sword forms of tai chi. I find it of enormous benefit. I come here hoping to find meditative friends and to learn more. This last week, I have been doing some lovingkindness and forgiveness meditations, which I also got from the net.
The spiritual environment, the relaxation feeling, and all of the ten benefits, including the brain improvement.
