    Smile Greeting All..

    Hi.. I am new member of this forum. I'm a mother of 3 y.o son.. Recently I become interested in meditation.. I have never practiced meditation before, so I'm really a newbie..Hope by joining this forum I can get all information I need and soon I can start my meditation.Thanks a lot..

    when i read these posts, i get a smile on my face....

    Ill tell you why, meditation means doing nothing. But you cannot do nothing, you will sit down and say "ok i will do nothing" but you are still doing effort to do nothing...

    The best meditation for me is, that you sit down and watch your thoughts and through that watching you understand yourself, and through that understanding the less of a self you will be, because there is nothing good about you, nothing, even your so-called good is nothing but bad in disguise. Until the day comes when you even realize that the so-called meditation is not taking you anywhere, and that day is where all the supports of yourself drop...

    Watching thoughts is the method to understand and be free of your many prisons, but when you are free of every prison, then you need to be free of the method which becomes a prison itself.

    But remember, there is nothing to realize or understand, so i dont know why you want to meditate

    When I began to meditate I was trying to understand myself. I had hidden a lot of dark and deep emotional problems behind self told lies and so forth. Meditating made me look at myself, my thoughts and understand what I can do better for myself and for those around me. I realized that the things that made me angry about other people are the same things that made me angry about myself. I hate sarcasm with a passion and never in a million lives would I believed that I was sarcastic until I meditated and looked inwards. I found out I was one of the most sarcastic people around and seeing other people being sarcastic angered me only because I didn't realize how much of that behavior I actually had. That was like blowing holes into my being and I was ashamed. I think that meditating is a way of turning off all the distractions in the world and sitting with oneself and truely seeing the way we are. I guess it is self therapy.
