    Default Hello and nice to meet you!

    Hello, my name is Travis. I just decided to come here today because after practicing some meditation I had some new experiences I wanted to ask about. But this is only a introduction thread so I'll do my best to stick to the point.

    I used to never meditate, then I started on/off. Then I started more frequently. One time I think I meditated too much... if that's possible... it probably is I'm guessing. Today I mainly use meditation to focus energy to were I need it more. For me it's in a way like routing power to were it's needed most that day. I also use it to try and learn new abilities.

    I'm sorry if I'm not so specific in this thread but I honestly don't know the first thing about meditating besides how to do it. That's part of the reason I came here I figure if I actually try it and know what I'm doing the outcome would probably be a bit better.

    Well I'll stop writing a book now and let someone reply. If you have any questions ask, and I'll do the same. Nice to meet all of you.

    Hello my friends i am little late or say on time to post about my own experience in meditation.It's been 3 years since i started meditating , actually i started meditating accidently ,don't know how but i was actually watching my breath and then my brother who is senior than me told that i am meditating .Then i started developing interest in meditation and did good research from which one thing was clear to me that meditation is actually just remaining alert ,aware and mindful in present moment happening everything to ourself.Benefits promised by meditation comes naturally and one should not go looking for it and also that there is no technique for meditation but one should as a beginner first develop his concentration then meditation happens naturally.So i started watching my breath for 20 mins in the morning and evening and soon i started feeling good and relax and also sometimes i used to feel angry and kind of different emotions when meditating and other times but i knew that all this are just game of mind so i continued with practice.I still have some irrational fears such as public speaking and little bit shyness .I have done third eye meditation also for 1 month but then i didnt continue it .Meditations which i am doing right now are tratak,mindful breathing,remaining observer of everything happening to us .And yes one important thing courses that i have done are 10 days vipassana course taught by s.n.goenka and on may/ 1 /2011 i am doing one more 10 days course from pune branch .Unconditional Awareness
