    Unhappy Beginner in meditation,feeling frustrated

    Hi!

I started meditating about 3 weeks ago and so far so good until today, I've felt this overwelming frustration coming over me during the day and I can't figure out why.
I've tried to meditate to calm myself down but it just wont go away.

Is this a common problem for beginners when you start meditating deeper or am I just having a bad day?

    best regards
    Alistair

Talking Re: Beginner in meditation, feeling frustrated

    Welcome Alistair,

Sorry about the delay but have been very busy this week and I was trying to find time to reply to you.

I get like this a lot, I have tried everything Including anti depressants and Psychologist's and the only thing that help is going for a walk and listening to soothing music, also chakra or reiki healing sounds there are many out there. Though my favorite Chakra Balancing album is available on iTunes and is produced by Deepak Chopra and the for Reiki Merlins Magic.

I put one of these on and go for a walk with my mp3 player and do both and this fixes all my worries and frustrations and I feel relaxed again. Do this in a quite time out on the streets as sometimes I wonder off in to never never land and get into a kind of a trance, though I have not had any problems other than walking to far and having too walk 5KM's 3.5Mi's(approx) back.

    Hope this helps.
    Brett Reilly.

Meditation is the best solution but if your frustration is not gone then it means that you are not meditating in proper way. You are unable to control your mind yet. When you will gain then just emotions will have the permission to come over your mind very often else no tension can disturb your mind.

Hi I am Mike and I am new to this forum. I started with this thread as frustration is probably the best friend and enemy of meditation of which everybody who ever tried meditation is well aware .
I have a bit experience in meditation being a trainer or a coach for meditation technique in various area. I started in religious meditation but I am spending lots of my time in business meditation as there is a lot of rich and businessmen interested in it as the mean for emotion control.
So that is all about me for now. One more thing I live in the UK and it rains

    regards
    Mike

    Hello!

I just registered in this forum and have only practiced meditation very recently. I find it also frustrating because I fail to keep my concentration even in my meditation classes. I'm glad at least I am not alone in experiencing this and I hope we find a solution to this issue we are undergoing.

Any tips from the coaches and experts? thank you very much

Failing concentration is a good sign. You should not worry about it I usually advice my clients to start counting every time they loos concentration and you will be surprised how quickly you improve. Failing concentration is great because it shows you what's on your mind on the sub conscious level. It is the easiest tool to use by the coach as there is the honest true about the sub conscious mind of the client

I would say enjoy meditation as this is the most important and with practice you will improve. There is always the simple method of backtracking which helps quickly and takes you to another level of meditation? religious, personal improvement, business or other?
