Wow! It's simple and good step to start meditating for new comers in easy way.
Few easy steps to start calming down your mind, and flow into meditation.
Step 1
Choose your Mantra or Chant
Choose a word that you can say repeatedly and that enhances calm and positive feelings inside of you. A word that intensifies you, and that contradicts all the negativity running crazg inside your head. A few examples: you can say Om, which is the most effective Indian mantra. You can also utter words like love, peace, calm. Just look for a word or a line that just goes with you. When you got the word, jot it down on a piece of paper.
Step 2
Getting Ready
Wear something comfy, something that fits loosely around your body, business suit, or the skinny dress, is not necessary, just put on something you love to wear, or wear nothing else, anything that makes you feel just right and at home with yourself. The wearing nothing part is great specifically well when you are in a bath tubThen go to your preferred spot in your home, and put on some relaxing instrumental music (if you do not live alone you could wear headphones), light a candle, surround yourself with things that you really love to have around you.
Step 3
Find a peaceful place inside you
Take a piece of paper with your chabt, and put it right next to the candle. Turn off all the electric lights and sit down, Look straight into the candle, and observe your thoughts. Every time a thought comes up in your mind, just repeat the chant. Slow down your breathing, you could use this simple pranayama.
•Inhale in for 5 counts
•Hold breath for 5 counts
•Exhale for 5 counts
•Be still for 5 counts
Count slowly, there is no rush this time. Whenever your thoughts push themselves forward, just repeat the chant for yourself. It will not be simple at first, but eventually it will become more easier. You absolutely can also perform this in the bathtub, just remember to put the candle somewhere on a ledge, where it's secure, and just gaze at it while you are submerged in the water.

Good post.
The only thing I'd mention is that not everyone needs to use a mantra or chant to meditate so it's certainly not required, but everything else is just great.
